The evening sun painted the streets in shades of gold. Aarav’s vintage scooter, decorated with fairy lights and a basket full of Meera’s favorite flowers, gleamed softly in the fading light. A small gajra lay carefully in the basket, its jasmine scent drifting through the air.
Meera approached, her hair tied with the gajra, her eyes lighting up at the sight of the setup.
“Wow…” she whispered, taking it all in. “Yeh… yeh tumne sab mere liye kiya?”
(You… did all this for me?)
Aarav smiled, his heart racing. “Haan… tumhari smile ke liye.”
(Yes… for your smile.)
She twirled once, and a petal from the bouquet fell gently on Aarav’s shoulder. He chuckled, brushing it off, and motioned for her to sit on the scooter’s bench next to him.
Aarav reached into his pocket, pulling out a small velvet box. His hands trembled slightly, but his eyes were fixed on her.
“Meera…” he began softly, voice steadying with every word, “tum meri zindagi ka woh hissa ho jo poora karta hai sab kuch. Kya tum mere saath hamesha ke liye chalogi?”
(Meera… you are the part of my life that completes everything. Will you walk with me forever?)
Meera’s eyes shimmered with tears. She laughed softly, nodding. “Haan, Aarav… hamesha ke liye.”
(Yes, Aarav… forever.)
Relief washed over him, and without thinking, he pulled her into a gentle dance under the fairy lights. They twirled, laughed, and for a moment, the world felt infinite.
Aarav laughed, spinning her again, pressing a kiss to her temple. “Aur main hamesha tumhare saath dance karunga.”
(And I’ll always dance with you.)
After a few moments, they sat down on the bench, catching their breath. Meera reached into her bag and pulled out a small box, placing it carefully on Aarav’s lap.
“Arav…” she said, eyes glinting with mischief, “let’s try this… meine bahut saare couples ko dekha hai jo yeh try karte hai.”
(Let’s try this… I’ve seen so many couples do this.)
Aarav froze. His eyes went wide. “Kyaaaaa… Meera, tu… tu pagal hogayi hai??”
(Whhaaat… Meera, you… you’ve gone crazy??)
Meera’s smile widened. “Pagal toh tu ho gaya hai, kya problem hai? Kitna maza aayega!”
(You’re the crazy one! What’s the problem? It’ll be fun!)
“N…nahi nahi… arey itni bhi kya jaldi hai?” Aarav stammered, fumbling with the box.
(N… no no… isn’t this too soon?)
Meera tilted her head, pretending to be offended. “Kya bake jaa raha hai tu… yaar pehli baar thodi na kar rahe hai.”
(What’s wrong with you… we’re not doing this for the first time anyway.)
Aarav gulped. “Kya??? Sacchi bata pehle… kitni baar aur kiske saath kar chuki hai tu?”
(What??? Seriously, tell me first… how many times and with whom have you done this?)
Meera shrugged casually. “Arey yaar… Arav, bahut baar kiya hai… Vishal aur Siya ke saath… but aaj tere saath karna hai.”
(Oh come on… Aarav, I’ve done it many times… with Vishal and Siya… but today I want to do it with you.)
Aarav’s face turned red, hands flying up in panic. “Ayeeee… pagal aurat! Tujhe pata bhi hai tu kya bol rahi?”
(You crazy woman! Do you even realize what you’re saying?)
Suddenly, the box slipped from her hands and tumbled onto the pavement. Aarav leaned over, bracing for disaster.
Meera picked it up, peeled off the polythene, and Aarav froze. Inside the box was… a pack of stickers. Bright, heart-shaped, colorful stickers.
“Wait… whaaat??” Aarav blinked, staring at her.
Meera’s cheeks flushed, and she glared at him. “Arey… kya tum samajh bhi rahe ho? Maine kya bola tha? Stickers! Stickers!”
(Hey… are you even understanding? What I said? Stickers! Stickers!)
Aarav laughed nervously, holding his hands up in surrender. “Okay… okay… fine… you win. Stickers, I get it. I’ll behave.”
Meera smirked, sticking one on his shirt. “Ab jao… ab maza aayega.”
(Now go… now it’ll be fun.)
They laughed, teasing each other with stickers, until the evening air grew cooler.
Meera teased, spinning in his arms:
“Mere type ki date ho gayi… ab tere type ki!”
(My type of date is done… now it’s your type!)
Aarav offered his hand, and together they walked to a nearby old age home.
Inside, elders greeted them warmly. Meera handed out fruits while Aarav made small jokes that made everyone laugh.
“Arre beta, itna pyaar… bahut kam milta hai aaj kal.” said one elderly lady.
(Oh son, so much love… very rare these days.)
Meera smiled softly. “Aap sab deserve karte ho, yeh sab aapke liye hai.”
(You all deserve this, it’s all for you.)
Aarav winked at her. “Aur haan, sweets ke liye line mat lagao!”
(And hey, don’t line up for the sweets!)
By the time they left, the sun had set completely, leaving a sky full of stars above. Meera held Aarav’s hand, laughing softly at the sticker chaos, the proposal, and everything in between.
For the first time in a long while, the world felt light, joyful, and just theirs.

This story is about love that’s playful, stubborn, and ridiculously magical. Even in chaos, even in mischief… hearts find their way.
Keep dreaming, keep laughing, and maybe… believe in a love that’s completely yours.
With this we are signing off...hope you loved this story
